Your expedition leader will meet you at Marina Bahía Golfito, and after a short walk, you'll board the expedition yacht M/Y Kontiki Wayra. Take your first boat ride this afternoon to spot dolphins. The captain and crew will greet you warmly, with a concierge handling the welcome briefing and cabin assignment. Head to the sundeck to enjoy a stunning sunset. After your welcome dinner, participate in an evening safety and expedition briefing.
Start your day with a visit to Los Mogos and pamper yourself with a day to relax before your week full of activities. Savor this remote natural spot with serene waters as you unwind and quietly observe your surroundings. Admire the lush rainforest blending with the emerald waters, keeping an eye out for playful monkeys or macaws that inhabit the area.
Enjoy your lunch on board. In the afternoon, you'll go on a guided kayaking expedition to the mangroves in the nearby Rio Esquinas and witness the breathtaking sunset that colors the horizon.
Arrive in Punta Adela for a very special underwater excursion: a submerged coral trail that is part of a project to rebuild the coral population in Golfo Dulce. The tropical fjord is home to many different species, including hammerhead sharks. Beautiful schools of fish and other species await!
Return to the yacht for lunch. Disembark in Puerto Jimenez harbor and head to Finca Kobo, a traditional Costa Rican cacao farm that will teach you about Theobroma Cacao's history. During the hike, learn about growing and harvesting cacao and try the fruit directly from the tree. Witness the fascinating chocolate-making process and indulge in various tropical fruits and freshly made chocolate fondue. Enjoy dinner on board while sailing overnight.
Disembark in Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula with a wet landing on the beach at La Sirena Ranger Station. The crown jewel of Costa Rica's South Pacific, Corcovado is renowned as one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. Its ancient rainforests teem with life. Towering trees pierce the sky, their branches draped with emerald vines and vibrant bromeliads. Scarlet macaws flash through the canopy, their calls echoing in the humid air. Tapirs, elusive and shy, weave through the undergrowth, while spider monkeys swing acrobatically from branch to branch. On the forest floor, jaguars, the top predators in these untamed areas, stalk unseen, their presence a whisper.

Today we'll visit Cano Island and enjoy a unique underwater adventure exploring one of Costa Rica's largest and best-preserved coral reefs. This island is a perfect spot for snorkeling and scuba diving. It also has great conditions for humpback whales to give birth, and it is not uncommon to see them during whale season (July-September). Enjoy a morning guided snorkeling expedition.
You'll have a leisurely lunch on board. In the afternoon, take advantage of the oceanic club's marine activities, which include Seabobs, kayaks, SUPs, and slides. Enjoy dinner on board while sailing overnight.
After breakfast, a private transfer will take you for a 60-minute drive to the Savegre River for a whitewater rafting excursion. The Savegre River offers fun and exciting Class II-III rapids for people of all ages, and no previous rafting experience is required. Enjoy the vibrant plant and wildlife while floating and jumping off your raft to swim in calmer waters.
Return to the yacht for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon sailing to Nicoya Gulf with spectacular views of the Pacific seascape and a marvelous sunset. Dinner onboard.
Anchor at Alcatraz Island, a secluded haven off the coast of Costa Rica, where the only footprints you will find are your own. Our fleet of SUPs, kayaks, and the oceanic club awaits, inviting you to explore the island’s pristine coastline.
